We have been using Richer Lands Compost for the last two years and have been extremely happy with the product and the service.  We use the compost every day for all our Soil Amendment and Installation jobs.  We do an average of 350 jobs that require both soil amendment and installation within our 8-month season.  Our average yard size is 1100sf which requires a minimum of 3.5 yards of compost for soil amendment.  So, at a minimum, we are purchasing over 1200 yards per season just for our installation jobs.  In addition, we offer the compost for sale in Bulk and in one yard bulk bags which adds another 200 yards per season for a total of 1400 yards.  It’s obvious that quality is a priority for them since we never get any soil related complaints such as weeds or problems with sod dying due to poor soil.  The City of Aurora has approved their compost for use in the sod jobs which require review and approval by the city before they allow us to use the product.  Lastly, the Service has been outstanding.  They’re always willing to help in a pinch and great to work with.  We would recommend Richer Lands Compost to anybody.  The Sod Guy Parker Colorado

Horse manure has had a bad rap as a soil amendment. Misuse of this manure can cause weed seeds to grow everywhere you put it. Composting takes care of that and makes it stable for plants to thrive in.

How we compost

After deciding to turn all that manure we haul off into something of value. We attended a composting class with Mid West Bio-Systems. We learned so much and are continuing to do so! When we settled in our minds what to do we went with one of the oldest and reliable ways of composting using a windrow method with an Aeromaster PT-170.

The future of CMH.

As most of our manure clients know in our county, manure haulers have come and gone. We have learned that it is mostly due to the fact there is no where to take it. Most land fills charge 200$ for one of our loads. This would put a strain on most horse owners they cannot easily endure for long. So we decided to answer both problems of hauling and what to do with it. COMPOST IT!
